Love in the Eighties: The 28 Best Love Songs of the 1980s

13. “There is a Light That Never Goes Out” by The Smiths

Cult classic group, The Smiths, made some of the most heart wrenching love songs of the 1980s.  If a ten-ton truck kills the both of us; to die by your side, well, the pleasure – the privilege is mine.  That is some serious dedication, right there.

12. “Careless Whisper” by George Michael

Hands down, one of the best songs of all time. Just try listening to this song without singing along. It’s impossible. I’m never gonna dance again, guilty feet have got no rhythm. Then there’s that saxophone solo. EPIC.
